FSTopo Map Images

FSTopo or “Primary Base Series” maps are 1:24,000 scale topographic maps.

You can select a map by state or region. The maps are available in two formats: a geo-enabled PDF file and a GeoTiff.

Active Fire Mapping Program, GTAC

Active Fire Mapping is a satellite-based fire monitoring program, providing near real-time detection and characterization of fire conditions in a geospatial context for the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada.

Standard Map Products

These nationally standard products are available in a variety of formats:

• National Overview Maps – overview of national forests and grasslands with links to local web sites
• Forest Visitor Maps – info on attractions, facilities, services, and opportunities
• National Forest Atlas – full color topographic quadrangle maps
• Wilderness Maps – topographic maps showing natural features and elevation contours
• Topographic Maps – large scale topographic maps of the conterminous United States
• MVUM Maps – Motor Vehicle Use Maps identify areas designated for motor vehicle use
